Concord, Massachusetts 375th Birthday Celebration
Last April, the residents of Concord, Massachusetts voted to ban the sale of single-use bottled water in their town to ease the growing burden on overflowing landfills—a cause we at Primo also feel passionately about. Seeing an environmentally-minded town willing to stand up for its beliefs, we decided to honor the residents by sponsoring Concord's 375th birthday celebration music festival and fireworks show on September 12th, 2010.
It was a great event! To encourage the citizens of Concord in their quest to rid the town of single-use bottled water, we gave away 2500 BPA-free reusable water bottles, 250 t-shirts featuring an inspirational saying from anthropologist Margaret Mead ("Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."), and 100 of our finest water dispensers.
We had a wonderful time meeting the residents of Concord and introducing them to our top quality dispensers and great tasting water. Here are just a few of the sights and sounds from that day: |
